note: this was a small experiment to see what short reviews might be like. i don't see much use for it right now, but i'll just leave this here as a reminder to myself, if i think of this again, not to bother.

Diablo
The best hack and slash of its time, and thankfully gave new life to the genre. I would have liked a little more story, but its so good you can't really complain.

Fallout 3
Fallout 3 wasn't really Fallout, but then Fallout wasn't really Wasteland. But in the same way, they were good games in their own right. Some of the DLCs save the game from its own stupidity (the original ending of FO3), and some put it right back under the dunce cap (Point Lookout).

Wasteland
It's hard to convey how awesome this was when it came out, especially if you played the RPGs of the time: Ultima, Wizardry, Bard's Tale, etc. It's like everything you knew and loved, thrown into another world, and it worked. The overall story was somewhat weak and forgettable, but it had some killer moments and atmosphere.

X-COM: UFO Defense
One of the first and most, if not the first and most, important turn based strategy games. I missed out on it at the time, and couldn't get into it later, so I just have to admire it from afar.
